Yankee Stadium

I got the call Wednesday afternoon: “I got two extra tickets to Saturday’s Yankee’s game. You want to go?” Ten years on the East Coast and I’d never been to Yankee Stadium, you bet! Off I went Friday to New York’s 6th borough, Hoboken, where we were given shelter for the weekend by the ever so kind Randi, Michele and Gail. Gail didn’t really have much say because she was out of town when Ryan asked to stay, yet I feel obligated to thank her. It was great. Yankee Stadium doesn’t have all the distractions that Baltimore’s Camden Yards or Philadelphia’s Citizen fields have, but the tradition it holds is fabulous. After the Yank’s beat the O’s 6-4, (sorry Ed) we traveled to the Queens’ neighborhood of Astoria where we ended up drinking the night away at the Bohemian Hall. Thank goodness for my little digital camera, because if it wasn’t for these pictures it took, I’m not sure I would remember much of that night. Enjoy the parrarazzi.
